SCOUTING REPORT: Ryan is a 2016 graduate; he has a 3.6 GPA; scored a 1450 SAT & 21 ACT; is a right-handed pitcher; he has been on the varsity baseball team the past 4-years; he won the MVP/Cy Young Award; and was selected to the All-Tournament Team at Perfect Game World Champions 18U 2015. Ryan has an extreme ability to throw strikes consistently, regardless of which pitch he is throwing. He utilizes a 4 seam and 2 seam fastball that he is able to paint the corners with, a change-up that consistently confuses hitters and a curve ball that he can throw at any point in the count for a strike. Ryan's composure on the mound is unmatched. He throws 86 mph max fastball. 82-86 mph consistent fastball. 72 mph breaking ball. 75 mph changeup. 2-seam fastball (tails in and jams right-hand hitters and forces grounders to left-hand hitters) is best pitch. Curveball is next best pitch -- it is more like a slurve, sweeps down and away to RH batters, 10/4 break with sharp break. Changeup has good deception and late fade.
