SCOUTING REPORT: Max is a 2020 graduate; he has a 4.16 GPA; he scored a 1530 SAT / 36 ACT; he is a RHP & OF; and was selected 1st Team All-League this past season. Max is the consummate student-athlete who excels in the classroom and on the baseball diamond. Max brings all the attributes and skills to be a "big-time" collegiate player.  At the plate:  he is very athletic, strong bat setup/ good rhythm with the hands/ early stride, good position to hit at touchdown/ good bat path, barrel stays in the zone, great plate coverage/ clean, efficient bat path with A+ bat speed/ uses the entire field well, centered and balanced approach/ good K zone discipline, sees baseball well/ balls jumps off of the barrel, good carry, and very good power. In the outfield he possesses a plus arm and has a very good glove. His speed (6.82/60) allows him to track down fly balls in the gaps in the outfield and with an overhand throw Max keeps runners at bay who are thinking about advancing on a fly ball to him. On the mound, Max throws in the 83-87 MPH range. (He is aggressively working to get into the 86-89 range.) Max comes over the top to create great downhill action with his repertoire of pitches: 4-seam/2-seam fastball, curve-ball, and change-up. He can throw any pitch in any count with command. Max works both sides of the plate and creates outs with swing & miss, weak grounders or pop-ups. He throws a heavy ball with sharp late movement. Max throws a big tight curve-ball in any situation and pitches low in the zone.  He has a very high baseball IQ and his work ethic is 2nd to none. Max is the type of player who will give 110% and is always working on improving his skills. He is will an asset to any college coaches program.
